My Trip to Lake Arrowhead

On Friday February 19, 2010, I left to go to Lake Arrowhead. The car ride was about 2 hours long. When we got there we went to the hotel, and checked in. When we got to the hotel room we had to move to another because my mom and dad didn't think it was big enough. After, we unpacked we went to lunch at Snow Valley. When we went to dinner I had a delicious steak, and for dessert I had vanilla ice cream. It was so good. I wish I could eat all that again!

Snow Valley is really fun because you can go sledding, inner tubing, and skiing. When we went to Snow Valley my whole family had a really fun snowball fight.

Also, we are going skiing at Snow Valley. When we went skiing we had so much fun. We went on chair lifts. ( Chair lifts lift you up in the air, and when you get to the bottom you get off the chair lifts and you snowboard or ski off.) Also, when I was skiing I had a lesson. I had a lesson because it is my first time in the snow, and it is my first time skiing.

After that day skiing we went back to the, hotel and had some hot chocolate. The hot chocolate was so good, and after the hot chocolate we lied down on the beds and rested. After we did that all of us went to a restaurant Papagayos. For dinner I had an awesome quesadilla, and for dessert we came back to the hotel to have a chocolate chip cookie bigger than my head and four scoops of vanilla ice cream. It was so good! The next day we are leaving. I don't want to leave because it is so much fun in Lake Arrowhead.

The car ride back home was about the same time it took us to get to Lake Arrowhead.

Below is a screen shot of the weather.com, and the forecast for Saturday's weather.

The roofs were so icy too! One roof is all ice on the top.

Below is a picture of the icy roof.

Below is a picture of the snow that hasn't melted yet, but it snowed Friday night.

Have you ever been to Lake Arrowhead?
Have you been to Snow Valley?
Have you ever skied?

Dear Nick,

It sounds like you had a fantastic weekend! What a perfect time to go to the mountains for some fun in the snow. You probably have a better idea of how amazing these Olympic skiers really are.

Snowball fights are awesome! I love to have friendly battles with my friends and family.

Of course, one of the best things about playing in the snow is going inside for some warm food and hot chocolate. It sounds like you ate like a king!

Keep up the excellent writing and commenting. I enjoy following your blog.

@ Mr Salsich,

Thanks for the fantastic comment on my blog on my Lake Arrowhead post. I agree with you that the best part about playing in the snow is getting some hot chocolate, and I also agree with you that snowballs are awesome. Are you watching the Olympics? Team USA beat Canada yesterday night. Did you see it?

Nick,
I think I am going to leave for lake Arrowhead today. You made it sound so wonderful that I can't wait to go! I can't wait to see you guys up on skis. maybe next year we can all go up to Snow Mass and stay in Poppas house. I think that would be a blast! What do you think? We could eat and play War whenever you're not on the slopes.....
I love u,
